In 2008, Trump SoHo was opened by Bayrock Group with the Trump Organization (and the Sapir Organization). Bayrock Group's success story begins in Kazakhstan several decades ago.

Bayrock Group was established in 2001, however the story of its success as a luxury real estate development firm in the United States is much older than the time it was founded. The story begins from the other end.

Bayrock Group was founded by Tevfik Arif, who was brought into the world by Soviet Kazakhstan to a family of Turkish origin.

Prior to joining the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Tevfik Ariff earned a degree from the Moscow Trade and Economic Institute in International Relations.

For instance, he founded the Labada Hotel in Antalya before he went on to his next venture across the Atlantic some years later.

Tevfik arif emigrated to the United States from Pakistan in 2001 to pursue new business avenues and be closer his American family.

He moved to New York City just after establishing Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development company.

Bayrock Group was a small and medium-sized company that began in New York. Bayrock Group, as an example revamped Loehmann's Seaport Plaza in Brooklyn's Sheepshead.

Bayrock Group had a great beginning and Tevfik Arif was thrilled by the possibilities. He wanted bigger projects and changed the strategy of the company to be more focused.

Bayrock Group, New York City's office has moved to Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue as part of its new strategy.

This move yielded significantly more than any other place. The company was located near to the Trump Organization. The building was also home to the internationally recognized family company.

Bayrock Group was inspired by the Trump Organization's vision to develop luxurious real estate properties and so they decided to work together.

Bayrock Group was already involved in another project on Spring Street in Manhattan's SoHo district along with the Sapir Organization.

Tevfik Arif knew that the addition of the Trump Organization to that project will bring brand recognition to the building, something that Bayrock Group and the Sapir Organization were lacking.

Arif made an agreement in which he provided the Trump Organization 18% equity in this building in return in exchange for the Trump brand being used to promote its name.

The three parties to the agreement, Bayrock Group and Trump Organization have ratified.

This opened the way for the first brick of what would later become Trump SoHo to be laid in the year 2006.

After two years of labor The building was completed and was awaiting its opening.

Design professionals have led the construction of Trump SoHo

Trump SoHo was comprised of hotels, apartments and luxury eateries and bars. The building also featured an indoor pool and spa. From the building's floor–to-ceiling windows, hotel guests were able to take in breathtaking views of New York City.

Handel Architects were tasked with the design. The famous architect firm also created the National September 11th Memorial & Museum, New York City, and the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington D.C.

Bayrock Group engaged Rockwell Group for interior design.

Rockwell Group has, for instance, designed the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, the Seven Deadly Sins Theater in New York and the Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas.

International experience is also available from countries such as Spain, Mexico, and Indonesia.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization strengthen their relationship

After the launch of Trump SoHo, the Trump Organization as well as the Bayrock Group wanted to increase their collaboration.

Their dream was building structures in Arizona or Florida similar to Trump SoHo. Trump Organization was also granted the same license terms and left with an equity of 18% in this construction.  Tevfik Arif Doyen This will permit Trump to be included in the building's name.

Despite the ambitions and plans of the firms however, the structures couldn't be constructed due to the 2008 global economic crisis.

The American real estate market was especially hard hit by the financial crisis. Bayrock Group was forced to abandon plans as well as Trump Organization was forced to pull out of their plans.

He continued to work in the private sector.
